Native Trails is a leading manufacturer of kitchen and bath products specializing in handcrafted copper basins, tubs, vanities, mirrors and accessories. These products are truly exquisite and quite surprisingly they’re sustainable! Ricky from buildaroo.com interviews Naomi, the owner of Native Trails, who tells us about the company’s kitchen and bathroom sinks that carry a unique hand hammered design. For more videos about sustainable companies and products go to buildaroo.com.
All of Native Trail’s sinks are made from recycled copper, and the artisans are all expert individuals who have practiced hand hammering for a long period of time. Each sink bowl has 30,000 to 40,000 hammer hits on its inner and outer surfaces. Native Trails also makes vanities from reclaimed woods.
The artisans that manufacture these products are based in Central Mexico, and they are people whose families have been working copper for centuries. Native Trails blends this traditional craft with some modern techniques to form contemporary designs.
